President and Managing Director, Roxiticus Ventures LLC
Rich DeSimone is an award winning business entrepreneur with more than 30 years experience in finance, including the management of early-stage enterprises. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer and Acting CFO at EKR Therapeutics, a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on the acute-care hospital setting.
Rich is also the founder and Managing Partner of Roxiticus Ventures, LLC, a business management, financial services and investment banking firm specializing in early stage companies. Serving as general partner of the Roxiticus Valley Life Sciences Fund, he has demonstrated significant expertise in private equity investments in the life sciences and health care sectors, including having provided advisory services and funding assistance to the founding team of ESP Pharma, a specialty pharmaceutical company which was sold for approximately $500 million within three years of starting operations.
Rich is a founding director of Patient Care Management Associates, Inc. and PsycheNutrition Sciences, Inc., both early-stage life science firms. In 2008, he was honored by the New Jersey Technology Council as an award winning finalist for title of CFO of the Year.
